Sometimes you just need to get dressed up and have a fancy afternoon. Our friend, @the.petit.guide, shares with us her recipe for the sweetest afternoon in Paris! Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fun activity, this fancy Parisian afternoon in the chic neighborhood Saint-Germain-des-Près will be a hit for all ages.
1. Café de Flore – Sit down for a winter treat at the iconic Café de Flore. People watching is a national sport in France – try to get a terrace seat so you can watch the chic Parisians and pups strolling by. The hot chocolate *with* a side of ‘chantilly,’ or whipped cream, is a sure bet with kids – they love scooping the cream into the perfect hot chocolate. This spot is just fancy enough to feel special, while still being kid-friendly.
2. Luxembourg Gardens – Next, walk over to the Luxembourg Gardens, the classic park that is a must for any Paris vacation. Be sure to hit the gorgeous Medici fountain, sit in the iconic green metal chairs, and admire the landscaping. If you are lucky, the ponies will be out!
3. Ladurée– End at Ladurée for another sweet treat – macaroons! The shop is so pretty and kids will for sure love choosing their favorite flavor!
We had a ball, and the kids were comfy and dressed to the nines in their Tea Collection holiday outfits. The current collection is inspired by France with plenty of adorable, one-of-a-kind prints and designs featuring the Tour de France, French bulldogs, and much more. Tea Collection is all about sparking curiosity for world discovery in kids and also gives 10% of proceeds to helping kids all over the world. Love love love and so happy to partner with this brand.
