Each month Studio T features one of our retailers. This month we caught up with Rachel, the wonderful woman behind the Atlanta, Georgia boutique, seed factory, whose “goal has always been to find smart classic gifts for children that your family will trust and enjoy”.
Tea is proud to announce that seed factory is one of our first ambassador stores. Ambassador stores are the ultimate Tea experience, offering the biggest in-store selection of products. You can think of them as your personal Tea storytellers and count on them as your neighborhood place for the widest assortment of sizes and Tea Collection styles.
How (and how long ago) did Tea find it’s way into your life?
Tea Collection became a part of our little shop first called sprout back in 2003. It was one of the first brands we ever carried.
Describe how Tea resonates with your customers
Tea Collection resonates with our customers on three levels…
- well designed children’s clothing
- well made quality
- well priced
How has this new experience effected your Tea space?
We are really enjoying this new set up and the feedback from our customers has been positive! This will allow seed factory to continue to grow along side Tea Collection.
Thus far, which Tea destination has been your favorite?
I am loving this German inspired collection for boys. The black side stripe pant, ostsee chambray shirt and lucky green lukas pullover sweatshirt are my son’s favorites. Without giving the destination away… I have to say that I am super excited for Spring 2015 for girls!
Favorite outfit from the current season… Go!
I love the Baltic garden top and navy pin dot legging for toddler girls – we sent this to our 1 year old niece in Switzerland and she looks adorable!
Your best friend is visiting your city for the first time and only has 24 hours to explore – what would you tell them to do?
I live in and love Grant Park, an old atlanta neighborhood, so let’s start from home….
- Must have coffee and croissants from Octane and Little Tart Bakeshop. Delicious!
- Hit the BeltLine – A group of inner connected parks, paths, and public transport in Atlanta that has a real grass roots movement of artists, restaurants, and pop ups. take a walk from the east side trails to Piedmont Park.
- Be sure to make your way over to the west side for shopping and a sweet treat at Jeni’s ice cream. Pop into seed factory for a visit!
- Dinner? So many great spots in atlanta, but I’m going to say Miller Union for the win!
What types of events and promotions do you run in your boutique?
At seed factory we do a lot of spontaneous Saturday ‘crafternoons’. We like to hold a girls night out once a season for the older (8-12 year old) girls whom we help style their Tea Collection outfit! Always check out our facebook page for upcoming events.
What is one thing your customers would be surprised to learn about you?
I don’t like ketchup!
