This moody monkey graphic is inspired by the monkeys in Rudyard Kipling’s “Jungle Book” stories are known as the Bandar-log. In Hindi, Bandar means “monkey” and log means “people.”
This graphic tee is inspired by all the monkeys we saw in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state of Odisha. Bhubaneswar is said to have over 1,000 temples and is known as the Temple City of India. Monkeys run amok through out the streets and climb on top of buildings – great place to play “I spy with my little eye”. Near Jaipur, there is a temple called Ramgopalji, which has been named Monkey temple due to the large tribe of monkeys that live there.
