Over the course of the past few weeks, we have been introducing you to the moms of Tea Collection. These amazing women are superstars at work, and at home. Follow along as we introduce them to you and share insight into what its like to work at Tea Collection as a mom (pet moms, too!). Next up, meet Amy, Tea’s Director of National Accounts, who is based in Connecticut. She also happens to be one of Tea’s first employees!
How many years have you been working at Tea?
13 in July – Yowsers!
How many kids (or animals) do you have?
I have 2 children, Chloe (11) and Will (almost 9).
What’s your favorite thing about being a mom?
I love watching our kids grow and change and develop their own fun little personalities! They each have such unique talents, interests and a great sense of humor – having them at an age when we can really laugh and joke together is great fun! Oh yes – and the snuggles… I love the hugs and snuggles and their unconditional love (even when I am not my best!).
What’s your favorite thing about working at Tea, as a mom?
Tea’s focus on making the foreign familiar has made such a personal impact on me as a parent and to our children. They want to see the world and love to travel and that is a direct reflection of my career at Tea.
How do you balance family and work?
Not always well, quite honestly! But with each passing year I think I improve and learn to organize and prioritize in a way that works for everyone. Some days I’m better at it than others. I think giving our kids my full attention after work hours is a really important part of doing it well.
If you could be transported somewhere, right this instant, where would you go?
South of France – toes in sand – glass of rose in hand!
How are you celebrating this Mother’s Day?
No idea! Probably on a baseball or softball field… cheering for our kiddos! And hopefully a brunch squeezed in there somewhere!
