We love outdoor adventures. Whether you’re exploring a new city or going on a hike in your hometown, there is so much to explore and discover! Our newest arrivals are inspired by yama (mountain) style. We took a group of little citizens on an adventure to Mount Takao to shoot our catalog. Our new friends and Tea models enjoyed playing in the leaves, finding unique bugs, rocks and sticks. You’ll find some of their found treasures throughout our catalog.
More than 2,000 kanji characters make up the Japanese language, and each character has a meaning as well as a sound. Kanji are used for writing nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. Their beautiful designs are seen throughout Japan, on buildings, signs, in newspapers… everywhere you look! We were mesmerized by not only the beauty of the written kanji, but how each kanji character, when written out, can look like the thing it describes. We’ve put together 6 kanji characters for you to try at home with your little citizens. Download our acitivty sheet and make sure to share you kanji with us!
Our graphics from our Citizen Blue collection are inspired by our travels in Africa. These safari-ready styles feature lots of savanna-dwelling animal graphics. See a round up of our favorites and print out four interactive animal coloring sheets for your little citizens.
Up next in our Tea Brand Ambassador series is Danielle Schaffer. You may recognize her kids from our Italy catalogs. Her crew drove up from San Diego after being casted as part of our “real kids” campaign this spring. Read on to learn about her family, her favorite Tea item and don’t miss her family’s DIY project around a reward system for the kiddos.
We love getting the inside scoop from our designers about their designs. From animals to geometric shapes, every graphic has a story behind it. We’ve learned about far away animals and traditional nordic weaving techniques. The Rainbow Rays Graphic Dress is no exception and inspired us to create our very own mosaic planter. Follow our instructions below to create your own design… It’s much easier than it looks!
Where will the long days and warm weather of summer take you and your little citizens? To the beach? The mountains? Or maybe even a new city? Some of our favorite summer adventures have been road trips with many stops along the way, lazy days near a lake or barbecues with friends and family in the backyard.
Take a stroll along the Italian coastline and there’s no doubt you’ll find a few gems — tiny pieces of ceramic tile, seashells, sea glass and driftwood — a treasure trove of things to collect! Stella’s favorite thing to do while she was in Italy was collect smooth stones, bits of tile and unique rocks.
