Don’t try to be brave and do everything yourself. Rest when the baby is resting and don’t hesitate to ask for help. Your Mom and/or the Mother figure in your life has been there already and would probably love to help. Listen to them, and if they happen to be overly bossy, draw boundaries but don’t be stubborn about it. Grandmothers are “supposed” to spoil the grands, so don’t get hung up on that. Kids always need to know they can go to someone – & it’s usually not their own parents they want to talk to.
